Welcome to The Mythmaker’s Notebook, a corner of the world where stories are built. These are meant to give you a place to escape our harsh world for a few short minutes and step into a reality much cooler than our own.

I’m Dalton Wyers, a storyteller who loves to explore small ideas to see just how big I can make them.

Here, imagination isn’t treated as decoration but as architecture. Every post is a look at another piece of a world in motion. A starship weaving through time. A magician creating an illusion only he knows isn’t real.. A villain convinced they’re the only sane one in the story. Fantasy and science fiction meet not as opposites, but as two tools in the same box.

I believe that stories matter not only because they let us escape reality, but because they help us understand it. Worlds reflect our human lives, heroes challenge us to be better, and the unknown invites us to ask tougher questions. If that sounds fun to you, then you’re in the right place.

Edit: I started this blog with the intent of just sharing short sci-fi and fantasy stories, and I intend to share those as I move forward. However, I think I have realize that emotional resonance is my strong suit and not every story will have fantastical or scientific aspects.
